Cairns Tropical Zoo

Cairns Tropical Zoo is the largest and most diverse wildlife attraction in Tropical North Queensland and is set amidst six hectares of tropically landscaped gardens. Locally owned and operated, our zoo is home to hundreds of native and exotic species, many of which are indigenous to our northern wet tropics. Cairns Tropical Zoo has broken the mould of traditional zoos by creating opportunities for you to interact with their animals. There are numerous opportunities during the day to get close, touch, feel and make some new animal friends. Their philosophy is that personal interaction with animals encourages a greater understanding of native wildlife and promotes the need to preserve their natural habitats.

You will be picked up from your accommodation around 12 (noon), and head 45 minutes by coach north of Cairns to the Cairns Tropical Zoo. Daily program •  1 pm Wildlife photo session •  1.15pm Endangered animals •  1.45 pm Snake Show •  2.15 pm Koala Keeper talk •  2.30pm Koala Photo session •  3 pm Crocodile Show •  3.30 pm Free flight bird show •  4 pm Lorikeet Feeding   You will then be transfered back to your hotel around 5.30pm .
