WESTERN AUSTRALIA

The state of Western Australia occupies 1/3 of Australia. The population represents just 10% of the Australian total, with most people living in or around Perth. Much of the state is remote, with plenty of beautiful wilderness to discover. There are many spectacular areas that make you feel as though you are the first person to visit. West Australia is blessed with warm but dry weather. Unlike humid areas, the west coast of Australia is mostly arid and very comfortable even at high temperatures. West Australia is famous for it's wild flower seasons. Wild flowers can appear almost anywhere, seasons vary depending on the areas visited and year. Coach tours, safari tours and self drive holidays will take you through areas world renowned for massive expanses of carpeted landscapes. To see the whole of Western Australia by a tour or a safari you need approximately 3 weeks. The main highlights of such a safari departing from Perth, are the following places :

The Pinnacles, scores of eerie limestone pillars so surreal they could have been sculpted by Salvador Dali. The Pinnacles is one of the State's foremost natural wonders and attracts visitors from all over the world.
